The tournament is played over two rounds on consecutive days.
Team Competition
Day One, Sunday, is played at Spyglass Hill Golf Course and is a team competition —scoring the best two balls of the foursome. All players, professionals and their amateur partners’ scores count. Professionals play gross. Amateurs play net. Current handicap with a maximum of 18 shots awarded. Players who have a handicap greater than 18 are welcome but play as an 18 in this event.
Day Two, Monday, is played at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. The format is also a team competition, with one ball counting per team on holes 1-6, two balls counting per team on holes 7-12, three balls counting per team on holes 13-17 and all four balls counting on the finishing hole, number 18. As was the case on Day One, professionals play gross and amateurs play net, limited to a maximum of 18 shots. And, again scores for professionals and amateurs count in this format.
Team championship and The COPi Cup is awarded to the Club whose combined score is lowest over the two days of competition.
Professional Competition

In the event of ties for second place, each tying professional will receive a $1,000 prize.
The professional on The COPi Cup winning team is also awarded $2,500. If the professional on the COPi Cup winning team is also the low gross professional, prize money is combined and awarded at $5,000. Correspondingly, if the professional on The COPi Cup winning team is also second place gross or ties for second place gross, they will be awarded $3,500.
